The Father's Fellowship

Touching Heaven, Touching You

Priest, Prophet, and King

Priest, Prophet, and King

This week’s message focused on God’s design for spiritual leadership within the family and the responsibility He has entrusted to fathers. Drawing from both the Old and New Testaments, the message emphasized that God’s pattern for the natural family reflects His spiritual family, calling men to lead under the authority of Christ.

The message warned that when God’s knowledge is rejected, families often experience the consequences of spiritual captivity, broken relationships, and generational struggles. Yet God also promises restoration, turning the hearts of fathers toward their children and restoring families through repentance and obedience.

Three primary responsibilities of a man were highlighted. First, as a priest, he is called to intercede for his family through prayer and spiritual covering. Like Job and the fathers of Israel during Passover, men are called to stand before God on behalf of those entrusted to their care.

Second, as a prophet, a father is called to know God’s Word and faithfully pass it on to his family. Spiritual leadership is not about control, but about discerning God’s voice and helping others walk in truth.

Finally, as a king, a man is responsible for guarding what enters and influences his home. Biblical authority is inseparable from responsibility, and true leadership flows from serving, protecting, and living in obedience to God.

The message concluded with a call for men to rise to their God-given responsibilities and trust the Lord to restore families through His grace and power.
