Mind of Christ
Mind of Christ is a sermon series exploring the renewed life believers have in Christ through wisdom, transformation, spiritual understanding, and the work of the Holy Spirit.
Intellect, Part 2
Part of the “Mind of Christ” sermon series at The Father’s Fellowship Church.
This week’s message continued the focus on the mind of Christ and challenged believers to pursue Godly wisdom with the same dedication often given to secular education. Through 1 Corinthians 2:9–10, we were reminded that God reveals deep things through His Spirit to those who seek Him.
The message emphasized that wisdom from God requires time in His Word, prayer, and a desire to grow in spiritual understanding. Believers were encouraged not to remain spiritually shallow, but to ask God for greater intellect, discernment, and understanding through the Holy Spirit.
Several examples were shared of individuals who used their God-given abilities to impact the world through science, mathematics, agriculture, medicine, and leadership. The message pointed to people like George Washington Carver and the women portrayed in Hidden Figures as examples of excellence, faith, discipline, and dependence on God’s wisdom rather than human ability alone.
Using the life of Elisha in 2 Kings 6, the message also highlighted the supernatural nature of God and reminded believers that God is still involved in the details of everyday life. Proverbs 3:5–6 encouraged listeners to trust the Lord rather than relying only on their own understanding, seeking His direction in every area of life.
The message closed with a challenge to ask God practical questions about growth, wisdom, and purpose, trusting that He will reveal the right path and renew the mind through His Spirit.
