How Long Will I Have to Wait?
Recent message from The Father’s Fellowship Church.
This week’s message focused on persevering through life’s waiting seasons and trusting God’s timing. Drawing from Galatians 6:9, the sermon reminded believers that there is always a period between sowing and reaping. During that time, it can be tempting to grow discouraged, especially when facing trials, unanswered prayers, financial hardship, family struggles, or spiritual battles. Yet God promises that every seed produces a harvest in its appointed season, and His timing is always perfect.
The message emphasized that seasons of waiting are often seasons of preparation. Just as a chick must struggle to break free from its shell in order to develop the strength needed for life, God uses difficulties to build endurance, strengthen character, and deepen our faith. Rather than seeing trials as evidence that God has abandoned us, believers are encouraged to recognize them as opportunities for spiritual growth and maturity.
Throughout Scripture and history, examples of perseverance remind us that breakthrough often comes after prolonged hardship. Nehemiah refused to stop rebuilding despite opposition, the three Hebrew men stood firm in their faith, and countless individuals throughout history endured years of sacrifice before experiencing victory. The message challenged believers to remain faithful, continue doing good, and refuse to give up, knowing that perseverance produces lasting fruit.
The sermon concluded with a call to press forward with courage and unwavering faith. No matter how long the journey or how difficult the circumstances, Christians are called to trust God’s promises, stand firm against discouragement, and keep moving forward. Victory belongs to those who continue to believe, endure, and remain faithful until God’s appointed season arrives.
